Are there times in your life when you feel like what you are doing is crazy?
I am having one of those moments right now. However, deep down I feel excited about what I doing even though it may seem crazy.
What I am taking part in right now is one of my core values. Spending quality time with my family, especially my parents who are approaching 80.
I picked my mom and dad up from LAX (Los Angeles Int’l Airport) yesterday afternoon. Yup, they are staying with me for a few months. My folks want to get out of the cold Cleveland winters and kick it LA style.
People are asking me do I have the room? Technically yes. Although the more personalities, it never seems like enough room:)
My sister asked me if I thought this was my dad’s last trip. I hope not buy who knows. It did get me thinking though.
Whenever I have moments of “Am I freakin’ crazy for doing this???”
I am going to remember to treat this trip like it could be their last and enjoy it to the fullest!
I mean really, the other night were we watching the Grammy’s together and drinking pomegranate kambucha. Some things are just so LA. It is going to be a very full and well rounded experience.
Of course the Universe may give me some opportunities to workout a few unresolved childhood issues:). The great thing about that is if I really hash them out, they won’t come back, right?
You already know what is going to keep me balanced, in gratitude and insanity free! Yoga, meditation, time in nature and healthy boundaries. I already set the tone by making sure I practiced yoga and meditation today.
As I write you this message, I am in the doctors office, dad needs some help with a few things.
At least we got a doctor close to the ocean!
Cheers to your health and wellbeing (especially when life gets a little crazy),
