Life is meant to be celebrated! If you haven’t found a reason to live it up lately, join me in celebrating the Chinese New year. The Chinese New Year is observed for two weeks. I love that!
We moved out of the year of the water snake and into the year of the wooden horse. The spirit of the horse is recognized for making perpetual efforts for self improvement. Horses are also energetic, bright, warm-hearted, intelligent and they have a deep desire to roam.
Are you in touch with the spirit of your inner horse?
Have you celebrated the Chinese New Year yet?
Here are a few ideas. One of my student’s made a Chinese Shabbat dinner for her friends of 40 years. Another one of my student’s went to a temple in LA to pray.
How am I going to celebrate? One of my friends, who is also a student of mine, is coming over this weekend. She is going to teach my mom and I how to make her mom’s famous egg rolls and dumplings! Learning new recipes, eating and spending quality time together is right up my alley.
To your inner horse,
Cindi E. Lee
