If there ever was a person who has inspired almost everyone on this planet, it is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is with great joy I celebrate the legacy of this amazing human being.
Here is one of my favorite quotes-
“If you can’t fly, then run,
If you can’t run, then walk,
If you can’t walk, then crawl,
but whatever you do, keep moving forward.”
Can I get an amen!
One of my students attended a funeral to a close family member a few weeks ago. It made him think about the kind of legacy he is going to leave behind. I assured him it was going to be a good one:)
When I think about legacies, I usually think about someones character and what mark they made in the world.
Have you ever thought about the legacy of your health? When the time comes, what is your body, your mind, and your spirit going to say about you?
Was your well-being a priority? Did you have loving thoughts about your physical instrument? Did you treat your body like your temple? Did you make excuses about taking care of it? Did you run it into the ground with no mercy! Was it well nourished? Was it well rested? Is it going to feel that is was neglected?
Think about the legacy you want to leave behind regarding your health and well-being. Then you’ll know where to make shifts and changes.
