A great way to incorporate more conscious movement into your daily life is to practice yoga at work.
Many companies are noticing the benefit of offering yoga onsite. Companies can actually receive lower insurance premiums for providing yoga to their employees (even insurance companies get it).
The classes I lead are taught at fast paced companies in the Los Angeles area. Let me tell you, the yoga truly boost employee moral.
Employees are facing an incredible amount of stress at work. They are dealing with 8-12 hour work days, lay offs of fellow employees, work travel, and often triple the work while meeting short deadlines.
All of this external stress creates havoc on the nervous system which leads to physical disease and emotional trauma.
Get your company on board! If thats not happening, grab an empty conference room. Start moving. Begin to breathe deeply. Your longterm health depends on it.
You’ll make decisions from a focussed and de-stressed point of view.
Yoga also helps you to become more physically flexible, resulting in less pain. Sometimes less medication.
The openness in the mind facilitates the creative process.
Increases stamina to work through long days, allowing you to finish projects with your best foot forward.
