Moving and Cleaning, Can We Say, Oh $&%#!

moving-and-cleansingHave you ever heard someone say, “I love moving. Packing is awesome!”

Or “I’m so excited to start this green juice cleanse.” Not eating or drinking any of my favorite things is going to be a blast.”

No? Me either.

I just moved apartments and did a cleanse for the first time, in a long time.

I’m amazed at how many similarities there are between cleansing and moving.

Let’s face it, moving can be a stressful process. You feel overwhelmed, you don’t even know where to start.

Should I start in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, or living room, uggghhhh!

At the beginning of a cleanse you feel fat and your colon is full of crap. You need to buy various products and plan accordingly. Your body just feels so lethargic. You tell yourself to relax but you can’t.

For a brain that needs to calm down, Child’s Pose is your best friend.

At the beginning of a cleanse, all of the food and drink that was previously unable to digest (maybe for decades) is now tucked away in the crevices of your colon. Maybe you have a fatty liver too.

Now all that gook is being brought to the surface. A few symptoms from the cleansing process can be bloating, headaches, and fatigue. This causes you to feel irritated, annoyed, and maybe downright angry at the world!

While moving to a new home, you start to bring out all of your belongings, your STUFF. Then your stuff starts taking over your entire place! No matter how much you pack and put things in nice piles, you place looks crazy.

Sometimes you feel like quitting!

While cleansing, your ego may tell you that its much easier to go back to your old way of doing things. You didn’t feel that bad before the cleanse, right?

While packing you may wanna quit too! Just skip the donate/keep process. Box it up and take it to your new place. You’ll deal with it after you move.

Hold up.

You have a talk with yourself. You look over your goals and desires. So you persevere.

New home with a clean start.

New body from the inside out.

Soon you start to donate and sell what you no longer need.

You feel encouraged about the space you have created.

In a cleanse your body starts to flush out all of the toxins that’ve come to the surface.

You feel energized. You’re in such a great mood. That green juice never tasted so delicious.

Ahhh wishing you a fresh start in wherever you need one!
