It’s never too soon to talk about infusing more getaways into your hectic schedule. Last year I vowed to visit more amazing places in California. One must get out of LA sometimes!
For many of my clients and myself, the more years we spend on this earth, the more important it is for us to take healthy vacations.
You feel me?
We want less vacations where we come back feeling exhausted. We desire more vacations where we come back feeling rejuvenated.
I know, the thought of calling off from work for anything thats not an emergency or to meet up with family can create anxiety. It’s easy to hold off until the time is right.
We all know, the timing is never quite right. At some point you gotta go. I headed to SLO, aka, San Luis Obispo. I was able to combine a training with my yoga teachers with a mini vacay.
The yoga sessions were in the morning and the rest of the day I had to myself. After class one day, this is what greeted me, a good luck rainbow!
The charming town of SLO could make Mr. Grinch smile. No one honked at me once. There was a lot walking and hiking. No traffic. Visitors enjoy healthy eating options throughout town. Award winning farmers market, Vietnamese and farm to table restaurants.
Upon my client’s advice, one morning I decided to be spontaneous and drive to San Simeon. My client insisted I see the Elephant seals along the coast. OK, i thought, if you insist. Now the drive to San Simeon was the beautiful California I’d been hearing about for ages. The landscape was vast and breath taking. But those elephant seals stole the show. Not because they were doing circus tricks, because they were straight chillin!
However, my favorite side activity, on a rainy afternoon, were the Mineral Springs Resort and Spa. Check it out. You get your own individual hot spring tub nestled in nature! After pretty intense yoga trainings, the mineral spring water soothed all my sore muscles. The cherry on the top, it cost less than $15 for an hour.
If you live in Los Angeles, SLO is only a three hour drive up the coast. You’re worth it, even if its far away:)
In the comments below, please please share your fav healthy min vacays in Cali and around the world! There are lots of travel lovers up in here. We’re always looking for our next delightful trip.
Thanks so much for being here,
