Lets call my client Vanessa (not her real name). Usually Vanessa wants a strong Shadow Yoga practice, she loves a challenge.
However, Vanessa had an incredibly intense work week and quickly said, “Restore-o, restore-o, please!” Meaning restorative, relaxing yoga needed. I love the restore-o abbreviation she came up with, don’t you:)
“Oh no,” I said, “Let’s definitely get your body, including your brain de- stressed, now.”
I guided Vanessa through a peaceful restorative practice. Afterwards, with a calm voice, she said, “I feel like a whole new person.”
It only took an hour, not a 2 week retreat to Bali (I mean definitely go to Bali for a 2 week retreat if you have the time and the dough).

- 1-2 yoga bolsters or big firm pillows
- 1 yoga block or several thick books to stack under forehead
