You’re human. There are days you feel clamped down, like there’s an energetic 30 pound heavy metal boot around each ankle. The results? You feel heavy and stuck.
Last week I was driving home after teaching my yoga class around 8:15a, getting ready to drink my chocolate banana smoothie I left in the frig.
I turned down my street and saw a guy bent down looking at his front drivers side tire. Shoot, his car got booted!
Felt really bad for him. He proceeded to call the number on his parking ticket to go through the difficult process of getting the boot removed.
Life circumstances can pile up like unpaid parking tickets. The good news, unlike a real metal boot, an energetic boot can easily be removed.
It can be as simple as mini solo dance party in your office/ living room/driveway.
At my old apartment complex, after a crazy LA day, my super fun neighbor and I danced in the driveway. We would crack up laughing at ourselves.
Last summer it was 100% joy to watch my almost 3 year old nephew bust out and sing, “I like to move it move it. You like to move it move it.” You know he had moves to go along with the song too.
Before you knew it, we were all dancing and singing.
Hope this little note of inspiration reminds you that your body is equipped with wellness, we just have to give it some guidance.
